Angel-faced Santa Monica Boulevard hustler Montgomery Ward (Tony Ward) guides a lovelorn anthropologist named Jurgen Anger (Bruce LaBruce) through the seedy underbelly of male prostitution and the gay porn milieu.
Quintessential LaBruce, comprising an uneasy blend of social satire, romantic comedy, and graphic sexuality.
No Skin Off My Ass is a gay remake of Robert Altman's That Cold Day In The Park. Director Bruce LaBruce plays the Karen Carpenter-loving hairstylist who is helplessly attracted to the lonely and stoic skinhead he finds and invites to his home. This very sexually explicit comedy is really for anyone - male or female, straight or not - who is a bit curious and wants to see a movie that offers something... a little different.

An agit-porn movie about modern leftist Germans adopting the culture and politics of the extreme left wing movements of the 1970s. The leader of the Raspberry Reich, Gudrun, who has patterned herself after Gudrun Ensslin, one of the main members of the Baader-Meinhoff Gang (the Red Army Faction), spends her time indoctrinating vital, athletic young men to her cause. A strict devotee of Wilhelm [there's a typo - you have Wihelm} Reich, she believes that heterosexual monogamy is a bourgeois construct that must be smashed in order to achieve true revolution. To that end, she forces her straight male followers to have sex with each other to prove their mettle as authentic revolutionaries. A porno-political-palooza.
Skin Flick follows a skinhead gang on their daily quest for: Sex, Gang
Banging, Granny Theft, Petty Pilfering, Cottaging, and General Mayhem!Dirk and Dieter have been lovers for three years but aren't gay. Wolfgang
picks up men at the local cottage but doesn't consider himself a queer.
Reinhold swings both ways, but his girlfriend, the incredible Cameltoe,
thinks he's a faggot. And Manfred just masturbates, albeit onto a dog-eared copy of Mein Kampf! Low on cash, the gang decides to pay a visit to a mixed-race bourgeois gay couple, one of whom Wolfgang has recently had sex with in a public toilet. When they break into the couple's tony apartment on the Thames, things get nasty...
LaBruce stars in this vaguely autobiographical look at a triple-X star-director caught in the downward spiral of his career. Remarks Googie, the art-house auteur who's either exploiting LaBruce or launching his comeback, "He was actually attempting to break down the whole subject-camera relationship... It was as if he was an existentialist trapped in a porno star's body." Well, almost.
Just as LaBruce's scrawny, hangover aesthetics challenge the conventions of gay porn's Wonder Bread desire, his newly adroit camera unsettles narrative assumptions. A dense weave of self-reflexive interviews, cynical vignettes, and outrageous cameos by "Kids In The Hall" Scott Thompson and drag goddess Vaginal Creme Davis - along with moments stolen almost verbatim from films like Fellini's 8 1/2 and Perry's Play It As It Lays - Super 8 1/2 still manages enough rude sex to keep the whole unruly narrative in your face.
